Anna Dragan studied voice at the Conservatorio di Perugia. She won the competition of all Serbian conservatoires. She has made numerous recordings for Radio Belgrad.
For two years she was the recipient of a grant of the Austrian government. She studied with Ileana Cotrubas in Vienna and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf in Salzburg. In 1998 Anna Dragan won a grant from the Accademia Musicale Chigiana di Siena to study with Raina Kabaivanska. From 1997 until 1999 she studied with Renata Scotto at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. She also attended a performance course of the province of Trento in collaboration with the Arena di Verona.
Anna Dragan won the following competitions: 12th Concorso Internazionale Cascinaliria, 13th Concorso Internazionale Esecuzione Musicale Franz Schubert and 4th Concorso Internazionale Orvieto Spazio Musica, 6th Concorso Internazionale Riccardo Zandonai and the International Competition of the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow for Lisa in Pique Dame. She also won the Special Prize Tosca of the Provincia Autonoma di Trento. She was a finalist at the Yamaha Competition in 1995, the Fourth International Competition Voci Liriche Mario Basiola and the 13th International Competition Giacomo Lauri Volpi.
Anna Dragan sang Tosca with Renato Bruson and created the title role of Lady Emma in the world premiere of Moretti`s new opera which was broadcasted on Italian Radio RAI Tre. In 2002 she sang Antonia (Les Contes d`Hoffmann) at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo under the baton of Stefan Anton Reck in a production by Jérome Savary. Also in 2002 she sang Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. In 2003 she sang Rossini`s Semiramide at the Teatro Regio di Torino under the baton of Riccardo Frizza in a production by Dieter Kaegi. In Rome she sang Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana). Also in Rome she sang Egloge in Mascagni’s Nerone.
In 2003 Anna Dragan sang a Concert In Memoriam Maria Callas under the baton of José Maria Florèncio in Poznan. In 2004, she sang at the Teatro Filarmonico di Rovereto Tosca and Maddalena (Andrea Chenier) in a staging by Caterina Panti Liberovici under the baton of Massimiliano Stefanelli at the following theaters: Teatro Donizetti di Bergamo, Teatro Grande di Brescia, Teatro Sociale di Como, Fondazione Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona , Teatro Fraschini di Pavia.
In 2006, Anna Dragan sang Tosca at the Mecklenburgischen Staatstheater Schwerin. She was invited back to sing Leonora (Il Trovatore) in Schwerin.
In 2007, she sang Georgetta (Il Tabarro) in Maastricht.
In concert Anna Dragan sang at the Festival di Todi, in Naples Pergolesi`s Stabat Mater, in Rome Dvorak`s Messa in D-Major and Te Deum as well as Saint-Saëns Christmas Oratorio and Bach’s Magnificat.
